In Vitro Radiobioassay Analyses
GEL Laboratories, LLC is a major provider of radiobioassay analysis in support of workers at Department of Energy and Nuclear Industrial sites across the country. Radiobioassay analysis is crucial in estimating the radioactivity doses that workers receive from ingesting or inhaling radioactive materials on the job site.
GEL Laboratories, LLC routinely performs radiobioassay analyses on a variety of matrices for many isotopes ranging from alpha emitters such as Uranium, Plutonium
and Americium to Thorium. GEL Laboratories, LLC also analyzes for Carbon-14, Tritium, Strontium-90, Radium-226, Total Uranium and Gamma spectrometry.
The normal analysis time ranges from 5 to 30 days depending on client need and the analysis requested. The analysis of emergency samples is
addressed as required. Project deliverables include: data package, QA/QC summary, raw data, blank analysis, and performance-test results. GEL Laboratories, LLC participates in performance evaluation testing programs such as UT-Batelle @ Oak Ridge, DOELAP and NRIP.
