No standard method exists
A client needed to analyze for estrogen compounds in agricultural runoff and chicken litter. Because these compounds have biological activity at very low concentrations, the client required detection limits of 10 parts per trillion in these matrices which have large concentrations of dissolved organic material. Since a standard method did not exist, GEL developed a robust and novel LC/MS/MS method capable of detecting these analytes at levels of 1 to 2 ppt.
