Dredge Studies and Permitting
For major commercial marinas, as well as smaller marinas and homeowners' associations, GEL Engineering, LLC performed
all services related to dredging projects, including pre and post-dredge surveying, Sampling and Analysis Plan preparation,
sediment sample collection and analysis, Sediment Testing Report preparation and submittal of Joint State and
Federal permit application packages. GEL Engineering, LLC also provided contract administration services by subcontracting with
the companies that actually removed the sediment and transported it to a disposal facility. Through these services, GEL Engineering, LLC has helped our clients gain more use of existing slips and docking facilities, provide safer passage for boats,
and generally improve the function of their facilities, all in an environmentally sensitive manner, while making the permitting
process simple and efficient.
For industrial and shipping clients, GEL Engineering, LLC provided services including surveying, Sampling and Analysis Plan
preparation, sediment sample collection and analysis, Sediment Testing Report preparation and permit application preparation,
and submittal to and negation with regulatory agencies. GEL Engineering, LLC facilitated the permitting process for these clients,
helping them gain approval to dredge berthing areas to provide safe passage for deep craft vessels, which is vital to their business.
