Geological
A variety of projects can benefit from having geological information provided by geophysical investigations.
Geophysics is commonly used to determine the depth to bedrock, to map geological layering, to inspect for voids and
sinkholes, and to investigate fracture and fault systems. It is also used for mine exploration and safety investigations,
for non-invasive water table measurements, and for a variety of marine surveys. We utilize a combination of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), borehole
logging, electrical resistivity, electromagnetics, microgravity, and seismic methods to conduct these investigations.
GEL Geophysics, LLC is an industry leader in mapping the subsurface. We have access to unique geophysical tools including unshielded low
frequency GPR and borehole radar. Low frequency unshielded GPR antennas are excellent tools to penetrate deep into the
subsurface while maintaining relatively high resolution data. Borehole radar is a distinctive tool because it is the only
borehole tool which can investigate subsurface conditions beyond the borehole wall.
