Company founders George and Molly Greene

The GEL Group, Inc, was founded in 1981 by George and
Molly Greene. With just a handful of employees, George and Molly immediately began to grow the business
the only way they knew, by providing accurate, cost effective, on-time solutions to their clients' problems.
In the mid 1980s environmental consulting and field services were added to analytical services as the
company continued to meet the needs of their clients.
After several expansions, the company outgrew its facilities and moved to its current location in 1988.
Growth continued at a strong pace, fueled by work for the Departments of Energy and Defense. In the early
1990s, the company developed radiochemistry capabilities, followed quickly by radiobioassay. The environmental consulting
group grew as well, with the addition of stack sampling and industrial hygiene and geophysical services. These additional
services provided clients with a single site solution to their varied environmental needs. The 1990s brought
about the development of traditional civil engineering as well as geophysical services. In 2001, George and
Molly Greene decided to concentrate their efforts on creating a Christian non-profit organization, Water Missions International, dedicated
to providing clean drinking water to people in developing countries and those affected by natural disasters.
In March, 2001, The GEL Group, Inc. was sold to its current owners, who have been active in the business for many
years. With a committed staff at all levels, they continue to lead the growth of the company by providing
accurate, cost effective, on-time solutions to their clients' problems.
