GEL Geophysics mobilizes within an hour
GEL Geophysics is proud of its ability to respond quickly. We recently assisted a geotechnical/environmental firm in Georgia who had an urgent need at a site undergoing a soil and groundwater assessment. GEL Geophysics had previously performed subsurface utility designating on this site to ensure that proposed soil borings would not conflict with nor damage onsite utilities. However, the contaminant plume was determined to be larger than expected.
The problem was the need to expand the number of borings into areas that had not been "cleared" of utilities by GEL Geophysics. With the firm's staff and a subcontracted driller onsite, time and the money meter were ticking. GEL Geophysics was contacted early in the morning to find out if we could respond immediately.
Because of our resources, the willingness of our staff, and the desire to exceed our customers' expectations, we were able to mobilize within an hour of the telephone call. We performed all of the necessary utility designation work that day using a combination of ground penetrating radar and radio-frequency electromagnetics.
As a result of our response, our client was able to eliminate another mobilization for himself and his drillers. This not only kept the project on schedule, but it made the project much safer, and it saved their client money. This is what we love to do. ... Problem solved.
